We start by assessing the condition of the existing walls, checking for any areas that may have deteriorated over time. While structural issues are uncommon, any necessary repairs to boarding or framework are carried out at this stage.

The framework is then installed onto the existing exterior wall, allowing space for modern PIR insulation boards. These boards are fitted securely within the structure, improving thermal performance while maintaining airflow. The external cladding is then applied, providing both protection and an attractive finish.

Roofing: The Final Stage

The final phase of the refurbishment is the installation of the roof. Completing this last allows us to neatly integrate it with the newly installed cladding.

This stage may involve the most noticeable noise, as work is carried out across the roof. Typically, this involves converting an existing flat roof into a pitched and tiled structure. Importantly, the new roof is constructed over the existing one, so there is no need for removal.

We build a new framework, add insulation, and install protective felt before fitting battens and tiles. Fascias, soffits, gutters, and downpipes are also installed where required. The process is completed with the ridge tiles, ensuring the roof is fully sealed and weatherproof.

The entire refurbishment process typically takes between 5 to 7 days, depending on the size of your home.
